IDC Construct gaining ISO Certification for Quality, Safety and Environment in 2026

As experienced Bundaberg builders, IDC Construct is committed to continually improving how we deliver projects, manage risk, and support our clients and partners. In 2026, IDC Construct will be gaining internationally recognised ISO certifications across Quality, Work Health & Safety, and Environmental management. This milestone will further strengthen our position as a trusted commercial and industrial builder in Bundaberg, and across the greater Fraser Coast. ISO certification demonstrates that our systems, processes, and project delivery methods align with global best practice, providing greater confidence for clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

What are ISO standards?

ISO standards are developed by the International Organization for Standardization, an independent global body that establishes internationally recognised benchmarks for quality, safety, efficiency, and sustainability. For construction companies, ISO certification confirms that project management systems are structured, documented, and driven by risk-based thinking and continual improvement.

IDC Construct is currently working towards certification in three key standards:

  • ISO 9001 – Quality Management
Supporting consistent project delivery through strong processes, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • ISO 45001 – Work Health & Safety Management
Helping create safer construction sites through proactive risk management and robust safety systems.
  • ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
Guiding responsible construction practices that minimise environmental impact and improve sustainability.

For businesses looking for a reliable commercial or industrial builder in Bundaberg, ISO certification provides assurance that projects are delivered with structured systems and internationally recognised management practices.

Strengthening our leadership and compliance systems

To support our path to certification, IDC Construct has strengthened its leadership structure with the introduction of a dedicated Compliance Manager. Geoff Cocking has joined our team to guide the development, implementation, and continual improvement of our management systems as we work towards ISO accreditation in 2026. He will work closely with our Workplace Health and Safety Manager, Ken Desborough, ensuring our quality, safety, and environmental frameworks are embedded across all IDC Construct projects. This leadership structure supports our long-term goal of maintaining best practice systems across every project we deliver as a commercial and industrial builder in Bundaberg.

What this means for our subcontractors and suppliers

As we continue implementing these systems, subcontractors and suppliers working with IDC Construct may notice a few changes in project processes and documentation.

Notable improvements include:

  • Clearer documentation and defined project processes from pre-construction through to handover
  • More structured Work Health & Safety and environmental controls on site
  • Greater focus on risk identification, inspection, testing, and compliance
  • Occasional requests for updated licences, insurances, or supporting documentation
  • Increased consistency across all IDC Construct projects

For most partners, the way we work together will not fundamentally change. This initiative is about strengthening and formalising the systems we already use across our commercial and industrial construction projects.

Supporting quality construction in Bundaberg

Achieving ISO certification will reinforce IDC Construct’s commitment to quality project delivery, safer worksites, and responsible environmental management. For clients seeking experienced Bundaberg builders for commercial, industrial, and multi-residential construction projects, ISO certification provides an additional level of confidence that projects are managed to globally recognised standards. We value the strong relationships we have with our subcontractors, suppliers, and clients and appreciate your continued support as we work towards ISO accreditation this year.
